CDA Program
The Infant/Toddler CDA Program prepares educators to provide responsive, developmentally appropriate care for children from birth to age three. This specialization focuses on building secure relationships, supporting early brain development, creating safe and engaging environments, and understanding the unique needs of infants and toddlers. Candidates learn effective routines, observation skills, communication strategies, and ways to partner with families to nurture healthy growth. The Infant/Toddler CDA equips educators with the knowledge and competencies needed to promote early learning and provide high-quality care during the most critical years of development.
CDA Program
The Preschool CDA Program prepares educators to support the learning and development of children ages 3–5 through intentional, developmentally appropriate practice. This specialization focuses on building meaningful relationships, promoting school readiness skills, creating engaging learning environments, and guiding children’s social–emotional growth. Candidates learn to plan curriculum, observe and assess progress, support emerging literacy and math skills, and collaborate with families. The Preschool CDA equips educators with the competencies needed to lead high-quality preschool classrooms and foster confident, curious early learners.
CDA Program
The School-Age CDA Program prepares educators to support children ages 5–12 in safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate before- and after-school environments. This specialization focuses on fostering independence, promoting positive peer relationships, guiding behavior with respect and consistency, and offering hands-on, interest-based learning experiences. Candidates learn strategies for planning activities, supporting homework and enrichment, building strong connections with families, and creating inclusive spaces that meet the diverse needs of school-age children. The School-Age CDA equips educators to provide high-quality care that nurtures confidence, responsibility, and a love of learning.
