CDA Program
The School-Age CDA Program prepares educators to support children ages 5–12 in safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate before- and after-school environments. This specialization focuses on fostering independence, promoting positive peer relationships, guiding behavior with respect and consistency, and offering hands-on, interest-based learning experiences. Candidates learn strategies for planning activities, supporting homework and enrichment, building strong connections with families, and creating inclusive spaces that meet the diverse needs of school-age children. The School-Age CDA equips educators to provide high-quality care that nurtures confidence, responsibility, and a love of learning.
