Welcome to the Virginia Child Care Leadership Pathway – Preschool. This 24-hour professional development pathway is designed to strengthen your knowledge and skills in supporting preschool children ages 3–5 years as they develop the foundations for lifelong learning.
Throughout the pathway, you will explore child development, developmentally appropriate practices, learning through play, health and safety, school readiness, and family partnerships. By completing this pathway, you will gain practical strategies to create engaging, inclusive learning environments that foster curiosity, confidence, and kindergarten readiness.
